As we all know chainsaw is used for cutting purposes, and it needs to maintain properly by using it properly. For regular usage, you need some lubricant that needs to pour on the chain to run it effectively, and if the lubricant is applied it will be easy to cut as well. So, a lubricant is much needed and it is the most important one for any kind of tool. There are many lubricants available in the market like chainsaw bar oil and motor oil, even though both are lubricants, there are some differences among these two oils. Debate on motor oil and chainsaw bar oilAmong the different types of chainsaw users, there is always a common debate on using motor oil and chainsaw bar oil. It is generally not recommended to use motor oil, which has small microscopic metal bits usually act as an abrasive and it is not good for the chain in the chainsaw. And it is sticky in nature mostly stick with the chain which makes to replace the oil frequently and the bar oil is not necessary to replace it often because of its viscosity. Also, the chainsaw bar oil has no detergent additives and it is single viscosity as well and it heavier and thicker than the ordinary motor oil which simply sticks slightly with the chain in the chainsaw. You can buy that oil in any automotive shop in your local area. Regular motor oil is not good as it contains many additives in nature, which is simply like a cooking oil. It is good to invest in good lubrications which does not have additives, which helps to work efficiently without any pause in the meantime of operating the chainsaw.
